Lockdown Extended by One More Week

President Akuffu-Addo has by another Executive Instrument with effect from midnight Monday, 13th April, 2020 extended the restriction on movement in the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi areas subject to review.

The President announced this when he addressed the Nation on Thursday 9th April, 2020.

According to the President, the extension is expected to help contain the virus and flatern the curve in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President also announced that government will absorb 100 percent electricity bill of lifeline consumers of electricity and absorb 50 percent for consumers who fall above the lifeline consumption for the next 3 months i.e. April to June.
