The government of Ghana has cut the sword for construction of an ultra morden, the complex with International relations department (IRD) and a Formed Police Unit at Tesano in Accra.
The building would have offices for commanding officers, senior police officers, units heads, general office, orderly-room, special resource, waiting room, conference room, and many more.
According to the Honorable Minister Ambrose Derry who spoke on behalf of the vice president, His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the building would serve as a one-stop shop to build the capacity of the international relations directorate and the Force Police Unit ( FPU) to effectively coordinate the international operations on behalf of the Ghana Police service.
He urged the contractor to meet the timelines in order for the service to have full benefits of the building.
The Inspector General of Police, Mr James Oppong Boadu, thanked the government for such initiative.
