The New Patriotic Party Ayawaso West Wougon Constituency on the 30th August, 2020 inaugurated campaign committee.

Durning an interview with the current Member of Parliament, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan, she noted that "this campaign going on she don't know why our brothers on the other side are thinking they can  win the election in December, because she want the government in power to keep on working so that the NDC government and their initiatives are not taken into consideration in this town, because we can all from the look of things, identify that things are not easy but the NPP government and the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo within three and half years, he has put in  place measures and policies to ensure that our town is being transformed, talking about one District one factory, planting for food and jobs, alternative livelihood programme and a whole lot of them especially the flagship programme which our brothers and sisters from the other side says it is been downplayed, that is the game changer in this community."

According to Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan "both the rich and the poor can all access secondary Education for free, after Senior High School, you can also get schorlaships into tertiary education so that anyone who, if not for this policy, has no claim to a good status in your family and community can also come out as a progress in your community."

She however stated, "when we accumulate every work I have done within this community with the help of the Government and the President they are a whole lot, talking of hospitals, bridges and sponsorships given to the brilliant but needy we have done all of that and also women empowerment"

We have supported over 1000 women with their businesses, if you go to places like bawlashie, shiashi mempasem we have been able to set up business for women, she noted.

"These are projects I have done even before this recent ones have been implemented."

To mention also, youth employment and entrepreneurship, those who wants to learn driving, cosmetology and other vocational and technical occupation we’ve done all of that."

Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan said that they have also educated the youth on the need to practice a humble way of delivering campaign messages, this is what the people need to vote in the upcoming elections.

And finally, she urge and plead to the people to practice a humble attitude at the voting centres.

"We will make sure that we win this election by the Grace of God so that the NPP Government can continue to be in power after the elections." She noted.

This is what I urge them to put in their dreams because we are starting campaign tomorrow, it’s late at the moment and we are also tired, so we will continue tomorrow she noted.
