GHANA SCHOOL OF LAW INDUCTS OVER 1,000 STUDENTS

The maiden virtual orientation of the university of Ghana school of law was held over the weekend,speaking at the program dubbed,"The Importance Of Ethics And The Contribution of Law Students To The Legal Profession" Justice Margaret Welbourne said the law admitted a total number of 1,000 fresh students as against 2019/2020


     She further advised the students to maintain balance and sense of the justice system, also they should take their studies seriously and be more interested in the rule of law eschew all forms of militarism.



Also she welcomed all students and added that whenever they were out on the internship programmes since attachment were very useful in legal education they should be given good accomodation.



     Furthermore some professional ethical values such as competence, independence, loyalty to clients, maintaining confidentiality to clients, responsibility to the court and to coliques, honourable conduct in professional and personal matters are ethics lawyers need to comply with and also exhibit good behaviour to lectures, administrative staff, management, fellow students and the general public, as "charity is said to begin at home" 


    She finally added that in Ghana the code of ethics of the Ghana Bar Association has similar standards which is all inscribed in the Ghana School of Law handbook.
