Time comes with either the good or the bad. Knowing this reality should make nothing take you by surprise. The root cause of man's despair is the failure of his expectations - we expect this or that to happen to us and nothing else. Yes, the good book says, "The expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off" (proverbs 23:18). But this is dependent on two conditions; being righteous and keeping alive the expectations you have. When the expectations are down there shall be no manifestations and miracles.

However, being righteous doesn't guarantee a problem free life; for it is written, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all" (psalm 34:19). The rich has problems likewise the poor - and the beauty of life is that each one of us holds a solution to another person's problem. Pandemics, famine, natural disasters, and personal life issues are bound to happen in their own time.

"There is time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a  to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

This is the time for Coronavirus to demonstrate to the world its colonialistic power to colonize the world. Unfortunately the world is not prepared adequately to fight this virus. Don't be ignorant - life is war. The enemy may attack at any point in time - the enemy that has not attacked yet is preparing to attack. It appears the world is not prepared to face any discovery of life, especially Africans. Many things take us by surprise as humans. We take what is not a curse to be a curse and continue to swim in carelessness.

"There is nothing new under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Coronavirus is not new. There are several coronaviruses already existing. 'Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) are the common diseases caused by these viruses. In July 2003, 8,000 SARS infection cases were recorded with 800 deaths resulting from that. It seems no country prepared towards the second coming of SARS - and now here we are with SARS Coronavirus 2 causing a pandemic.

There are rumours circulating alleging China to be the creator of Coronavirus. Don't be alarmed, the truth shall surely come out - and it wouldn't be shocking if the rumours end up being true. For it is written, "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places (Matthew 24:6-7).

Don't lose your head over the world coming to an end or ever think that God is punishing the world. God's punishment for deservers is after His judgement. If something is not working for you then probably you are not following God's laid down principles and directives. For instance if you do not receive then it is likely you do not give. When your afflictions come and remain without deliverance then it is likely you are not righteous, for it is written, 'Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all' (psalm 34:19). It doesn't mean God is punishing you.

Well, don't be troubled! In all this, those who know their God shall be strong. (Daniel 11:32). You need strength to fight the battles of everyday life. Do not panic or fear because God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power and sound mind. Even in times of fear, make it advantageous - take caution. Fear teaches us to be careful.

Be well informed about the COVID-19 and how it spreads. Take protective measures against COVID-19:
1. Wash your hands frequently
2. Maintain social distancing
3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
4. Practice respiratory hygiene
5. Eat immune boosting foods
6. Have a hand sanitizer with you wherever you go
7. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice fever, cough, sore throat or difficulty in breathing.

More important; don't leave God out - keep on praying for your family and the world at large. He is our protector and deliverer.

In a time soon, COVID-19 too shall pass. Think positive and follow directives.
