COVID 19: Rely on local manufacturers for better solutions to fight the pandemic and stop depending on Chinese Supplies - Chief Urges Government

Nii Oyanka I, the chief of Oblieman-Doodo and also acting as the Paramount Chief of Abola Piam We of the Ga State in the Greater Accra Region has urged the government to believe in the local manufacturers than depending on the chinese for solutions to fight the Corona virus.

"We thank the people of China for their kind gesture in supporting our beloved country but how can a blind man lead a blind man?".

"Ghana cannot depend on a country who has higher cases with the pandemic and there I will plead to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,Ministry of health, Ghana Health Service and World Health Organisation to call China to order".

Nii Oyinka I in his address stated that the responsible Business tycoons, opinion leaders, the clergymen are already giving support to the president so according there will be no need for the Ghanaians to call on a country like China who has largest for support.

Nii therefore made a call to the Ghana Medical Association to ensure that testing equipments from China tested and approved before distributing to the various health centres.

"As an overlord in my community ,I am in communication and conversation of BSN’s Mustafa Ismail, Richard Swett and Michael Rowan yesterday with Ms. Graciela Blackstone regarding the work of the World Health Organization, (WHO), in Africa, BSN is transmitting it's plans to Ms. Blackstone the Queen mother of development representing Ga in America to bring immediate support and defense against the Spread of Corona virus in Ga-West".

BSN’s role is to help facilitate the rapid and effective communications, coordination and collaboration of Ga-West Region State’s Health Care System, the WHO, ESRI’s COVID-19 GIS Hub, institutional supporters, the media and the Ga-West Region State’s population in working together to prepare and implement the effort to Contain the spread of COVID-19 until a vaccine is widely available (2021?).

BSN and ESRI’s CEO (Jack Dangermond) and ESRI’s Disaster Response Team (Ryan Lanclos, Director) are already working together to assess the first steps (More information on ESRI and the WHO are in partnership already, so the GIS server, dashboard and apps are ready to be downloaded, learned, and used. The WHO is organizing in Accra, and the Ga-West Region State Health System (facilities, personnel and capacity) should be in the process of organizing as well.

The first step is to familiarize the WHO and the Ga-West Region State Health Care personnels with ESRI’s hub which will become the real-time information system utilizing numerous apps to implement and monitor the testing, treatment and communications program that Ga-West Region State decides to run.
