Prudential Life Insurance Ghana has partnered with Surfline Communications to provide an insurance package for employees of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana. The initiative, being the first of its kind is dubbed 'Surf Insure'.

The initiative would extend life insurance cover to employees of SMEs who are Surfline subscribers signed onto Surf Insure. The benefits for subscribers included hospital cash plan if hospitalized and funeral support in case of death. The insurance benefits depends on the varied data bundles one chooses on Surfline.

The Farewell Funeral Support package seeks to compensate the family of the insured life with an agreed sum assured in case the employee dies whereas the Hospital Cash Plan is a living benefit that provides financial support to an employee who suffers some form of income loss due to hospitalization.

The CEO of Prudential Africa, Matt Lilley, claimed that Prudential Life has a long history of creating innovative ways to expand the landscape of how individuals can access insurance. And that working with Surfline to provide insurance cover through their data bundles for the SMEs market presented a unique opportunity to serve a market that was overlooked by traditional channels.

This partnership is iconic and will merge the convenience of fast internet with the comfort of taking care of the uncertainties that life may bring", said by Mr. Tetteh Ayitevie, the Chief Strategy Officer at Prudential Life Insurance Ghana.

Also, Mr. David Afugani, the Head of Commercial Business at Surfline, said that the partnership is aimed at giving their cherished customers more value for being on Surfline. And that they are always ready to partner like-minded organizations to delight their customers.
