Coronavirus: Disregard for safety protocols very dangerous for Ghana – Dr. kyeremateng warns

Senior Medical Doctor, Dr. Micheal Kojo Kyeremateng has expressed worry over the public’s continuous disregard for the COVID-19 safety protocols put in place to combat the disease.

He said such acts were dangerous and if not checked would erode the country’s efforts at eradicating the pandemic.

He said even though the country’s infection rate remained low due to the proper measures put in place by the government and stakeholders to combat the disease in the early stages, the virus was still active in the country.

The Senior Doctor at the C4C homeopathic hospital speaking with Angel News, Nana Gyenin urged Ghanaians not to be swollen-headed but rather strive to ensure the pandemic was totally eradicated.

A recent survey conducted by the GHS within the Greater Accra Region revealed that only 14 per cent of Ghanaians wore the face masks.

Dr Kyremateng commended the government for the stringent measures it put in place when the country recorded its first two cases of the virus but very worried how the public has disregard the presence of the coronavirus.

Dr. Michael Kojo Kyeremateng speaking on the current fears of the Covid-19 said, the country might experience a serious case if proper cautions are not taken.

According to him, the instinct at which the virus is not remembered should be blamed on the health Officers and the media who are to ensure updates are being published.
