THE Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy wishes to inform the general public, especially pharmaceutical companies about the development of a pharmaceutical park within the Dawa Industrial Zone (DIZ) which is in line with the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Addo's mandate of making Ghana the pharmaceutical hub of West Africa to produce over 60% of medicines consumed locally and within the sub-region.

A park is a concentration of homogeneous interlinked and interdependent manufacturers of service provider organisations in a location.

Therefore, the pharmaceutical park will have a variety of independent manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry work towards a common goal, thus making Ghana the pharmaceutical hub in West Africa.

The Dawa Industrial Zone (DIZ) is Ghana's ultra-modern location for all types of industries. It is a 45-minute drive from the Tema Harbour and Industrial Hub and one hour from the International Airport in Accra.

In reference to this, the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy would also want the  general public and stakeholders to note that, it has on the 16th of September, 2020 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LMI Holdings, a reputable company responsible for the Development of the Dawa Industrial Park.

The pharmaceutical park shall comprise privately owned and independent manufacturers in the pharmaceutical Industry working together in an interlinked and interdependent manner providing quality services to each other geared towards achieving the President's mandate which has the potential of creating jobs for the teaming unemployed youth.
