The interior minister, Hon Ambrose Derry yesterday October 20, 2020 received 5 sets of bed for the Ghana Police Service from the Czech Republican Embassy which acted on behalf of the Czech Republican government.

 According to H.E. Jän Füry, who presented the beds to the Interior Minister, the beds is to help treat properly those who are putting their life at risk while fighting for our security.

He added that it would serve as a symbol of friendship, cooperation and togetherness between the people of Ghana and the Czech Republic.

He said, “ As they need good arms to fight pirates, criminals and terrorists, they also need good medical equipment especially during the Covid-19.”

Hon. Ambrose Derry, the Interior Minister then handed the beds to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. James Oppong - Boanuh  and the Health Directorate of the Ghana Police Service.

He expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture.

The Interior Minister, Hon. Ambrose Derry then reiterated the cordial relationship that existed between the two countries and indicated the donation of the beds would attest to that.

Hon. Ambrose Derry also said quality health care for citizenry is one of President Nana Addo’s priority and therefore this gesture has come to help.
