Nationwide Fumigation Exercise Commences In JHS-SHS Schools.

Zoomlion Ghana Limited in partnership with the Ghana Education Service has commenced a disinfection exercise across the country ahead of the reopening of schools. 

In Greater Accra region, the exercise would see the disinfection of Basic, Senior High and Tertiary schools.

The Headmistress of Kanda AMA Basic school, Mad. Veronica Dabuoh Beatrice commended the government and  Zoomlion Company for both fumigation and disinfection exercise in their school.

According to her, the school authorities have made good preparations towards school reopening hence, children should not be afraid of Coronavirus.

She also appealed to the parents and guardians not be afraid and panic for the pandemic because the school authorities have made preparations to ensure that Covid 19 safety protocols are observed.

Also speaking on the fumigation and disinfection exercise in the directorate,Ramatu Gariba who happens to be the Municipal Director of Education for Ayawaso East explained that the exercise means alot to them as they are ready to welcome the students after staying home for a very long period.


She added that schools would be safe after the exercise so there should be no fear of contracting the virus when resuming lessons as the government has the interest of students and their families at heart.

    This is the third fumigation exercise so they would work in hand with teachers to ensure all students practice Covid 19 protocols .

Ghana News Desk further spoke to Noah Ayisi, Headmaster of President Atta Mills Basic School, Salvation Compound. He also said they are more than prepared to welcome students as far as Covid is concerned therefore parents should also prepare their minds and know their responsibilities for the teachers to also add their efforts.

   In addition he said they have PPEs and other equipments to ensure Covid protocols work, however their major challenge might reside on the social distancing as they have a huge number of students.

  But preparations are underway to curb it and make way for social distancing to take place in the classrooms because there hasn't been any form of new admissions.
