Women Relief Alliance Foundation Donates To Nsawam Female Inmates

The Women Relief Alliance Foundation, a non-governmental organization donates items worth three thousand Ghana cedis to the female inmates of the Nsawam Prison on Saturday, 27th March, 2021.

According to the Public relations officer of the foundation, Mr. Barry Musah, the organization is into women and children welfare hence the donation to the Nsawam Prison female inmates to remind them that they are not neglected because they are confined but they have people out there who care about them and are ready to support them during and after the reformation to make society a better place for all.

Some of the items donated were PPEs, nose masks, face shields, Veronica buckets, beverages,hand sanitizers, sanitary pads and other toiletries.

"This is actually the first activity or exercise we have taken which marks the roadmap to the outdooring of the Women Relief Alliance Foundation.

We registered and started operations since two years 2019 but we all know how COVID came and disrupt issues so this is one of those and we decided to start from here.

Public relations officer for the foundation, Mr. Barry Musah indicates.

The Nsawam Female prison officer and the second-in-command, Chief Superintendent Esi Gomado received the items on behalf of the inmates and showed appreciation to the foundation for the donation.

She made it clear that the items will go a long way with the inmates in observing all the COVID-19 protocols and she entreated the foundation to always come to their aid.
