Engineering Council In Ghana Declares 2021 As a Year Of Action Against Unregistered Engineering Practitioners on Wed.7th 2021.At ministry of Works and Housing .
"The engineering play a major role in the development of the country's Infrastructure, be it roads, water supply, hydro power,telecommunication,coastal protection, Flood management or housing,and it's my hope that in accordance with the engineering Council ACT, 2011(ACT 819),and LI 2410 (2020) engineering practitioners in the country will work to secure the highest professional standards in the practice of engineering",said by Hon. Francis Asenso - Boakye,MP Minister Of Works And Housing in his presentation at engineering Council press conference.
The effective regulation of engineering is a basic requirement in any country as engineering affects every facet of life. Engineering failures could cause most destructive disasters resulting in unimaginable damages and engineering practitioners, should not only be concerned with economic gains or prestige reasons but for respecting human life and therefore the need for the council to effectively enforce it's regulations".
"The Ministry of Works and Housing will work hard to resource the engineering Council in order to strengthen monitoring and evaluation of the performance of engineering practitioners, firms and unit with the sole objectives of engineering Council stated in the act governing it, that is to secure the highest professional standards in the practice of engineering.
"In achieving this ambitious objectives,the Council needs to put in place policies procedures to register individuals and corperate engineering institutions who wish to practice in the country."Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye said.
