Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor is insisting dictatorial government can hardly have a space in the future of the African continent.

The transition of many African countries including Ghana from dictatorial regime to democracy has paved the way for vocal, free and liberalised media referred as the "Fourth estate" of the realm and serving as a shining example to the West African sub region. According to the former Ghanaian Leader, Agyekum Kufuor, Africa's agenda of sustainable economic freedom, social and serene political atmosphere will not see the light of day if the Blackman is not absolutely freed from dictatorial tendencies.

Speaking on Accra-based Citi TV on Wednesday 28 April 2021, every decision by African leaders to deny citizens their freedom and liberty will stagnate transition to progress.

"Most Africans are pushing for identity in order to be recognized. The period of dictators will fizzle out".

“Every African leader must be well acquainted with geopolitics. There is no escape route. The period where the colonial master manipulated and optimised natural resources of Africa solely to their benefits at the expense of the Blackman is historical. Let focus bilateral relations for the benefits of the citizenry".

According to the former Ghanaian Leader, globalization has taken the world by the storm and front-runners of Africa must acquaint themselves with factors influencing international relations solely to take advantage of rapid globalization and bilateral trade.
