The Moshie Chief of Abeka Lapaz, Alhaji Sulley Issah has called on government to review the legislation governing content broadcasted on national television particularly advertisements promoting money doublers and mallams.
His appeal comes after the recent killing of a 10 year old boy by two teenagers for money rituals at Kasoa in the Central Region.
Speaking on the incident, Chief Alhaji Sulley disclosed that the laws governing the operations of the media when reviewed will help clamp down the rampant advertisement of spiritualists and money doublers averting a future occurrence of such incidents.
The two suspects are currently in the custody of the police assisting with investigations into the murder and are scheduled to reappear before court on April, 20th, 2021.
Chief Alhaji Sulley further added that the issue of guns importation through the country's borders is quite alarming as it poses security threat to our nation and hence calling for the arrest of suspected persons in this illegal trading and possession of ammunitions.
