Ketu South Municipal Director of Ghana Health Service Joseph Kwami Degley has urged parents and caregivers to fully participate and take advantage of upcoming malaria nets mass distribution to compliment government's efforts to battle malaria disease.
Malaria disease has been a source of worry to many due to its devastating impacts to lives and the Ghanaian economy. According to
Mr. Joseph Kwami Degley, the malaria vaccines is an additional tool to help prevent the spread of the disease.
In an exclusive interview with Ghana News Desk
and TV3 , Ketu South Municipal Director of Health Service Joseph Kwami Degley said "Very soon we will be doing mass distributing of mosquito nets for malaria prevention. I want to use this opportunity to urge all caregivers and parents to come out in their numbers to take the nets so we can fight malaria".
I will urge all parents to take their children to malaria vaccination centers. It will help us to fight the malaria menace in the country" Mr Degley said.
Meanwhile, Ketu South Municipal Director of Health Service Joseph Kwami Degley has also urged caregivers to have confidence in the efficacy of vaccines because it one of the options to combat malaria.
He told Ghana News Desk and TV3 that "I want to tell caregivers that vaccines work. An example is polio vaccinations, now we don't have new (cases of polio) because of the polio vaccinations".
