Be patient, we're fixing the power issue- Dr. Opoku Prempeh

Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has entreated Ghanaians to be patient as government take urgent steps to fix the long existing unresolved power problems facing the country.

According to Dr. Prempeh, government has identified the shortfalls within the energy sector and are in the process of finding lasting remedy to it. 

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh  said "We're fixing the power problem, Ghanaians should be patient with us and we continue to fix it. Let's fix together". 

He noted that "Energy Ministry has 15 agencies. We know the gains made and gaps to fix in the Energy sector. We've seen the shortfalls in the sector". 

Dr. Opoku Prempeh has also revealed that President Kufuor attempted to fix Ghana's power problem by buying generators and other interventions.

But, in 2012 Mahama-led Government attempted to resolve the infamous four-year energy crisis by signing agreements.
