CK Akonno names 30 Man squad to face Morocco and Ivory Coast

Head Coach of the Black Stars, Charles Kwablah Akonno on Wednesday afternoon named 30 man squad for the Black Stars for the upcoming friendlies between Morocco and Ivory Coast respectively.

The FIFA World Cup qualifiers slated for June 8 and June 12, were rescheduled for September this year. Hence, the need to keep the Stars cohesion by playing a friendly match on the FIFA World international break.


The coach has therefore named some players to represent the nation In an international friendly match between Morocco at Rabat on the 8th June 2021 and Ivory coast on the 12th June 2021 at the cape coast stadium.

The squad.

Goalkeepers: Richard Ofori (Orlando Pirates), Razak Abalora (Asante Kotoko), Ibrahim Danlad (King Faisal)


Left back: Baba Abdul Rahman (PAOK), Gideon Mensah (Vitoria Guimaraes)


Right back: 

Andy Yaidom (Reading FC), Philemon Baffuor (Dreams FC)

Centre back: Alexander Djiku (Strasbourg FC), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Ismail Ganiyu (Asante Kotoko), Joseph Adjei (Legon Cities), Nicholas Opoku (Amiens FC)


Midfield:
