Valco Trust Fund to cut sod for construction of 18 basic schools Friday June, 4

Valco Trust Fund is expected to cut sod for construction of eighteen (18) basic schools in sixteen regions of Ghana on Friday June 4, 2021. 

The Friday sod-cutting intended to commence establishment of 18 schools forms part of Valco Trust Fund's latest project to eliminate some 5,403 schools under trees and deplorable school structures.

Speaking at Valco Trust Fund press conference in Accra, Acting Executive  Director of the Valco Trust Fund Kelvin Kwaku Yeboah said "Even though, we at Valco Trust Fund do not have all the money, we are starting with an amount GHC 6, 800,000 to build in 18 schools as part of 500 schools for the year. We therefore need an extra amount of GHC 155, 697, 250 to be able to build the remaining 482 Kindergarten schools for the year". 

Mr. Yeboah noted that "on Friday the 4 June of 2021, we are cutting sod for construction of the following 15 Kg Schools, 2 JHS and 1 Primary School to be built across the country".

The latest project by Valco Trust Fund to eliminate 5,403 schools under trees and deplorable school structures will give the full meaning to free, accessible and compulsory education enshrined in Article 25 (a)  of the 1992 Constitution and the Education Act 2008 and Free Compulsory Basic Education (FCUBE)  conferred on every Ghanaian child.
