Anncr. Government will soon provide 2.5 billion dollars to retool security agencies especially, the Ghana Armed Forces. This was made known by the Chief of Defence Staff, Vice admiral Seth Amoama at the 2021version of the Land Combat firepower Demonstration held annually at the Bundasi Training Camp near Prampram. The 2021 Land Combat firepower Demonstration turned out to be unique as it was used to test the sharpness and readiness of the Ghana Army to deal with internal fracas such as countering the recent activities of successionist groups in the Volta Region and external threats such as a sudden invasion into Ghana.
From the briefing of participating troops at the conference room to the depiction of the mock battle, several demonstrations of troop constitution, duties and activities by the officers, men and women, were showed to give a picture of what takes place in a given conflict situation. As to how this year's Land Combat Firepower Demonstration took a different turn, Brigadier General Ayisi- Amoah, the General Officer Commanding, Southern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces duly explained all the intricacies. Speaking at the closing of this year's Land Combat Firepower Demonstration which took place at the Bundasi Training Camp last Friday, the Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, reveals plans underway to retool all security agencies with some 2.5 billion dollars. He stated how the Ghana Armed forces will benefit more from this incoming retooling. He revealed an ongoing project to purchase parachutes for the 69 airborne force of the Special Forces Brigade, the provision of a number of L39 aircraft and the Navy with four patrol vessels amongst other several amunitions and amenities for the 37 military hospital.
