YEA TO RECRUIT 5,000 SHS GRADUATES TO HELP NURSES ON CHPS

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced that it has begun processes to recruit five thousand (5000) senior high school graduates by end of August 2022 to help with basic health care delivery on Community Health Based Planning Service (CHPS) compounds module across the country. This will help the nurses in other Community Health Based Planning Service (CHPS) compounds with services, including recording of medical history and symptoms, conducting physical examination and the provision of simple bedside care to patients in the rural communities. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in charge of Operation, Alhaji Bashiru Ibrahim in an interview with Peace news at the Ghana Job Fair 2022, Green Edition Launch in Accra said, they are having a collaboration with the Ghana health service (GHS) with the community health worker programme to train the selected graduates in the secondary schools and deploy them to our CHPS compounds. He added that, the CHPS Compounds are mostly located in the rural urban areas so they will be there to help the regular nurses with record book keeping and basic things that will help the workers to be able to do their work. The Head of Center ,Ghanaian –German Center for Jobs Migration and Reintegration, Benjamin Woesten on his part added that, the fair was to connect young people who are seeking for job opportunity with a focus on the promotion of sustainable employment.
